Any Commentaries that relate John 3:34 to Rom 12:3?

I heard an interesting observation by Derek Thomas the other day where he noted that Christ was given the Spirit without measure while to each of us a measure of the Spirit was given? His point was that each of us is gifted by the Spirit with different measures or portions of spiritual gifts necessary for the Body but Christ was given the Spirit without measure. In application, it demonstrates the gifts that Christ gives to the Church and the necessity for us to be using our gifts for the good of the Church.

Anyway, I'm summarizing but I'm looking for some really good commentaries where the commentator unpacks that idea.

Using the above search string I only got one hit: R. T. Kendall's Understanding Theology Volume II

Thanks, Patrick. I started reading some of the commentaries I have in Logos yesterday afternoon and John Murray's Romans Commentary has an excellent discussion about ths connection.
