1 Cor 11:29 says Anyone who eats & drinks without recognizing the body of
the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself
So based on that, the memorial, Baptist view of a symbol or the
Reformed view of an emblem or a sign seems also to be lacking.
The Catholic view of transubstantiation that Christ is the host goes too far.
So the Lutheran view that Christ is really present in the host seems to make
the most sense. How can one eat & drink judgment on themselves if it
is just a sign, memorial, emblem or symbol? This takes away the meaning
