Are there any good biographies/evaluations of thought on the Apostles Peter and John?

Paul seems to get all the attention because he was the most prolific writer, but surely, there's some trusted sources on these men that aren't just retellings of how they died? N.T. Wright's most recent biography on Paul is an excellent and popular (albeit, somewhat skewed) story of Paul. Does anything like this exist for Peter and John? I would be very interested in such writings. Preferably newer, as in, after 1900. Thanks!

Here's a couple that might get you started:
  • Edward Donnelly, Peter: Eyewitness of His Majesty
  • Robert Reymond, John: Beloved Disciple
I would think the bibliography or footnotes would help you with additional suggestions.
