Has anyone seen the new movie about the apostle Paul, and if so, was it any good? Christian movies are often cheesy with bad acting, etc. but if it is a pretty good then I will try to find it.

I haven't personally seen it but I have seen many comments online that say it is fairly good from those who may or may not be christians, to some who say it is completely inaccurate (and those were said by people who seemed to be christians)... I still my go see it just to see for myself.Has anyone seen the new movie about the apostle Paul, and if so, was it any good? Jim Caviezel on why he takes these sort of roles:

Perhaps it won't be set on earth?!?What on earth will that even be about?

Just imagine the second commandment violations...
Regarding The Passion Movie. Here’s a short and good take on it by Rev. Angus Stewart from PRCA. It was a TV interview a few good years ago. That's weird, and it does little to make me want to see the film.
It also says Caviezel is starring in a sequel to The Passion of the Christ? What on earth will that even be about?

I believe it’s supposed to be about Christ’s time on earth between his resurrection and ascension.

Q. 112. What is required in the third commandment?
A. Q. 113. What are the sins forbidden in the third commandment?
A. The sins forbidden in the third commandment are, the not using of God's name as is required; and the abuse of it in an ignorant, vain, irreverent, profane, superstitious, or wicked mentioning or otherwise using his titles, attributes, ordinances, or works, by blasphemy, perjury; all sinful cursings, oaths, vows, and lots; violating of our oaths and vows, if lawful; and fulfilling them, if of things unlawful; murmuring and quarreling at, curious prying into, and misapplying of God's decrees and providences; misinterpreting, misapplying, or any way perverting the word, or any part of it, to profane jests, curious or unprofitable questions, vain janglings, or the maintaining of false doctrines; abusing it, the creatures, or anything contained under the name of God, to charms, or sinful lusts and practices; the maligning, scorning, reviling, or any wise opposing of God's truth, grace, and ways; making profession of religion in hypocrisy, or for sinister ends; being ashamed of it, or a shame to it, by unconformable, unwise, unfruitful, and offensive walking, or backsliding from it.
I suppose that makes sense. That's not a lot of time to work with, though. One wonders how many Roman Catholic myths will have been included in the script.
Actually, that’s a lot more time than the original covered, which mostly took place over just the last few days before and leading up to his crucifixion. And I’m sure you’re right that this one will be just as loaded with RC myths, if not more so.
My memory must be fading. I saw the original when it first came out, and I seem to remember at least one or two scenes supposedly from Jesus' childhood, and one with him working in carpentry. Maybe those were just flashbacks. In any case, I have no plans to see the film again!
That sounds funny. Why do so many Reformed love these movie though? I know quite a few.Yes there were a couple of flashbacks, including one to the time when Jesus apparently invented the dining room table.
