Three footnotes this week
1) Two of the many Michigans this week
2) I hung an 'h' on Pittsburg this year, since some folks seemed to care about that.
3) I'll sit out this week.

Actually, most of us don’t do too bad, even when we don’t win for the week. Most prognosticators have a relatively low success rate. For example, here is a chart that tracks the accuracy of Lee Corso’s picks over the last several seasons.

2012 10-6 62.50%
2013 12-6 66.67%
2014 13-5 72.22%
2015 6-12 33.33%
2016 10-8 55.56%
2017 10-7 58.82%

For example, here is a chart that tracks the accuracy of Lee Corso’s picks over the last several seasons.

His picks probably include some 'easy' games. This season, I've tried to go with projected close matchups at the expense of some of the big name teams. No Alabama - Citadel, Georgia - Austin Peay, or Ohio State - Purdue for us.

I think this contest would be much more fun if the winners received a flaming Servetus rather than a flaming Scot.

There has been a request for a recount. I'll check tonight or tomorrow. Putting together this week's contest has higher priority.
