The biggest blowout will likely be by Alabama, not only because of the disparity between the two teams, but because Saban has no qualms with running up the score. The other coaches are a little classier.

Georgia doesn't have a history of running up the score except for payback, but 5, 6 and 7 all have a motivation of catching the eye of the committee and getting to that number 4 spot. And, as you noted, Bama is going to be Bama. So I considered it a fair but probably irrelevant thing to throw out here to try to re-kindle interest in the contest.

I think it’s a great idea. Makes the tie breaker a little more fun.

Since I'm playing, I better make some rules in advance for that new tiebreaker.

10 which of the games has the biggest margin. Then I'll look at who picked that game

25 If no one picked that game, go to line 60

20 If only one picked that prevailing team, then they take that round

30 If two or more pick that prevailing team, then the closest wins

40 If two or more have the same differential, closest without going over wins

50 if two have the same closest without going over, first wins

55 If winner, go to line 100

60 if no one has picked the game, then go to the game with the next closest margin of victory

70 Go to line 25

100 Congratulations.

For the record, I think Bama has the biggest mismatch, but they also have the least to prove and the most to lose through a freak injury or a targeting call. So I didn't pick them.

Lane, you forgot the GA Tech vs VA game....and you will still probably win....

Before the tallies come in - rather than hold this week's contest open for another two weeks, I'm scratching the Cal-Stanford game. (Ben D will be the only one impacted. Sorry, Ben.) We may see the matchup on the list again in a couple of weeks.

SPECIAL WARNING- Friday games coming up.

Earl – 10 :flamingscot::flamingscot:
Ben D – 9 :flamingscot:
Bill – 9
Ed - 8 :flamingscot:
Edward – 8 :flamingscot::flamingscot::flamingscot::flamingscot:
Lane – 7
Patrick -6 :flamingscot:
Todd – 6 :flamingscot:
Ben G – 6 :flamingscot:

Although it didn’t do him any good, special nod to Ben G for being the only one to pick UGA in the second tiebreaker.

Not to quibble, but I actually got 10 games correct.

Friday?.... the Egg bowl is Thursday....

Egg Bowl wouldn't make the cut this year no matter which day of the week it was played. Neither did Tech - Georgia nor Turkey Buzzards vs Elephants. I didn't even look to see if Clemson was playing the game hens this week.

Quibble away - I'll check, particularly since it might get you into the championship round. For some reason (other than the usual input error) the spreadsheet didn't automatically register the wins for several games for some of the contestants (including me)

@SolaScriptura - did you run your usual check on me this week, and if so, what does it show for Bill? I'll check anyway, but wondered if you had numbers to compare.

My revised numbers (and it was a mis-count by me, not a technical issue):

Earl wins on the second tiebreaker with a ratio of 7.21110 to Bill's 7.48331 (Low number shows picks closest to actual scores).

Earl – 10 :flamingscot::flamingscot:
Bill – 10
Ben D – 9 :flamingscot:

Ed - 8 :flamingscot:
Edward – 8 :flamingscot::flamingscot::flamingscot::flamingscot:
Lane – 7
Patrick -6 :flamingscot:
Todd – 6 :flamingscot:
Ben G – 6 :flamingscot:

We'll see if Ben has a different result.

I’m glad we didn’t need to call in the Broward County Florida elections supervisor. It might have taken years to get a final count.

Sorry... I was on a hunting trip to northern Nebraska and I just got home this evening. I didn’t track any of the games from Saturday.
