Here you may download, for free, Bach's entire Goldberg Variations (BWV 988) played by Kimiko Ishizaka. These are high-quality recordings, made free in order that this beautiful music be known more widely.

From the website:

"The Open Goldberg Variations (Johann Sebastian Bach, BWV 988), played by Kimiko Ishizaka on a Bösendorfer 290 Imperial piano, are free to download and share. They are governed by the Creative Commons Zero license, which means that they are a part of the public domain, and every use of them is allowed."

This is great. I am downloading it now. A perfect soundtrack to this chilly CO evening while reading Andrew Gray. Thanks!

What a wonderful resource and how lovely they've been made available for free.

My hubby likes to play them, but he loves to listen to Gould play them even more.

I find Gould a bit distracting at times, so this will be quite a nice alternative. Thank you!

In my opinion, there is no better interpreter and player of Bach than Gould. Yeah, he is a weird guy with the singing and all, but I’ve never been so moved as when I’ve listened to him play Bach—any Bach.
