To quote a tweet from Presbycast:

Types of shows we produce:
General interest
Niche Ultra-niche
Shows only we care about
Shows only 1 of us cares about
Bad music shows
Southern Gothic horror
Serious Audio book excerpts
Well, the episode consists of 2 hrs of them critiquing "... the epic, unbelievable 1969 Southern Baptist musical "Happening Now!" by Bob Oldenburg." I would probably recommend getting some shows under your belt, so you know what is more representative (aka usually more substantial).

For those who listened to the Shenvi interview, what was Wresby talking about when he first commented during the podcast? It had something to do with Reformed worship being universal, but it seemed out of place and a little incoherent.

He was talking about the universality draw from the simplicity of it. If the Bible, including the psalms, are in a given language, then you have the materials for worship.

That is a fairly common refrain from them. And it is as Zach said. I haven't finished listening and am right at as he's saying that, so not sure if he draws this connection, but I think in the past they have pushed back that the historical reformed liturgy/worship is white European centered. So it would connect in that way, that those pushing intersectionality/critical theory/woke/etc, may claim the reformed church's liturgy comes from the oppressor. (That is at least my guess on how he connected it or something to that effect, if only in his head.)

@ZackF. That was my take and how I view Reformed worship. It is truly catholic.

I think Wresby just didn’t land his point clearly. I totally agree with where he was going though.

The problem with that podcast, is it’s hard to jump in if you haven’t been a long time listener. To me just thinking and dividing line are where it’s at. ‘Just Thinking’ is a good recommend on these issues and hosts are black so I think they have a bit of unique take, but they realize we are all running the same race and recipients of the same grace...

Funny I’m Presbyterian/Reformed and both podcasts are baptists

Neil is a Christian gentleman online if there ever was one.

From what I hear, he's a Christian gentleman in person, too--he and my husband attended the same church for a couple years in graduate school. We're finding this podcast episode really helpful, and I'm glad to see that Neil's work is getting positive attention.

So is that podcast touching on current events impacting the church? That is what I appreciate about presbycast and Dividing Line, that they help keep my ear on things I may otherwise be oblivious to.

This has been really helpful. Spread the word.

More than half way through - this is incredible brother, even the host, but most notably the guest. He nails it!
What is biblical oppression? The lgbt may be oppressed from their darkened perspective but what does the Bible have to say about the identity they want affirmed? Critical theory is an unbiblical train wreck and Neil Shenvi is excellent at respectfully meeting the critical theorist where they are and completely dismantling their attempt to biblically validate their position
