Safest way to get Frixion ink out of an Allan Bible?

I just received my first Allan Bible...it's second hand, and in great shape but it does have several pages of underline. The underline was done with erasable ink and it's a very particular kind from a Pilot pen called the Frixion--which erases by the heat generated from the friction--or any other heat. Trying to erase the markings the normal way would damage the pages as you have to rub pretty hard. I'm wondering what you guys thought the safest way to generate heat in very close proximity to nice Bible pages might be. I tried getting it really close to a light bulb, and it worked to a degree on some of the markings but also seemed to make that particular page warp a bit from the heat. Is there a better way? Any thoughts or experience with the Frixion? Also, anyone know if the warped page might return to normal? Thanks!

Have you tried to put it in the back window of your car and allow the sun to do its job? Not sure it would work but you could try.

From looking on the internet (and if it is on the internet, it has to be true, right?) The ink disappears at 60 degrees C (140 degrees in real temperature). But it reappears at - 10 degrees C (14 degrees F). So the easiest way to get rid of it would be to come to Texas or the Southwest in August, and leave it in a car a couple of hours in the afternoon. But then if you are back in the Frozen Chosen in the winter, it's just going to re-appear.

So it sounds like you may just be wasting your efforts.

Hey, we could have magic ink and write secrete messages about Trump!

My first (unhelpful thought) when seeing the title was: do not put them on the bible in the first place.;)

I asked my wife, since she uses them and our children use them during school. She had the following to say:
In my planner groups people complain about it happening when left in a hot car, but that's been suggested already. Only other thought is in a black trash bag in a hot car or outside on hot pavement, but the pavement might damage the cover perhaps (not sure on that.)

They can be a pain to erase - the kids have torn normal paper. I can't imagine trying to erase from thin Bible pages. But the ink dissapears with heat.

A hair dryer ? My first thought because I have a couple, was a soldering gun, or iron. A lot of heat and pin point application. Obviously held at a distance from the page, but close enough to furnish the required temperature, and no more than that.

If any of these work, you’ll have to wrap it in a warm blanket when you take it outside during the winter. It can be your new baby :)

I'll wrap it in a slipcase. But we already have a new baby :) . Our fourth was just born four days ago.

You could always use an iron on cool? If it is temp sensitive you could calibrate an oven to 60C?
