I have been reading Vitringa's book with tremendous spiritual profit. It goes nicely with Teellinck's book "The Path of True Godliness". Both books are fine examples of the spirituality of the Nadere Reformatie.

I found this review of Vitringa's book on the OPC website. I felt the review was a bit short given the spiritual importance of this book but still insightful.

I highly recommend both Teellinck's and Vitringa's books. They have the same spiritual wisdom you find in the writings of the Puritans.

Yes I highly recommend you buy the Teellinck book with it as I argue above. RHB have the Teellinck book on sale.

Although the two books come from two different centuries within the Nadere Reformatie, I was amazed how they nicely compliment each other

I have that one on the shelf beside my desk. I am gradually working through the books in that series.

I am so glad to hear these books have been used to your edification. They do indeed fit nicely together.
If you have enjoyed those two, I would commend Godefridus Udemans and Theodorus Vandergroe. They write very much in the same manner. The Classics of Reformed Spirituality series is worthy of your time.

I understand the Vandergroe work is not part of the Classics of Reformed Spirituality series as such but is the beloved exposition of the Heidelberg Catechism. Is that correct? I was seriously thinking of getting a copy of this exposition of the Heidelberg Catechism, but I was also considering a Reformation Heritage Study Bible (I saw the specials listed on the RHB website). Still debating; funds a bit tight at present
