"Our Father," &c. in prayers

I have noticed in many, if not all, Puritan prayers in their works have "Our Father," &c. at the end of them. Its obviously shorthand for the Lord's prayer . But, were they suggesting to recite it or at least follow the template after these previous prayers?

Correct. Note the concluding direction of the Westminster divines on Prayer after [the] Sermon . . .

“And because the prayer which Christ taught his disciples is not only a pattern of prayer, but itself a most comprehensive prayer, we recommend it also to be used in the prayers of the church.”
