A Sidestep Regarding Advent Candles

Actually, I don't remember the thread that addressed the issue. The issue (and I am facing it) is "we do the advent candle thing BEFORE the call to worship." To me, that seems to side-step the entire issue.
 
Okay; I misunderstood. Yes, it side steps ignores the fact that invented worship is will worship, whether it is before the call to worship or after it. It's a ceremony. It's not pretended to be for lighting (though that is another sidestep many attempt). It's making up a ceremony and imputing it with symbolic sacred or spiritual significance without warrant in God's Word, any time it is done.
