Something I've done for years is keep a book of secrets and wisdom I have learned, to better my life. They are literally about anything, and I write them down as I learn them. If anyone is interested, maybe this can be an ongoing thread where you can share your life secrets and wisdom with others. They can be serious or comical, and pertain to anything. I'll put a few on here to start.

1. We should always find joy and happiness in what we currently have. Many times we look for newer or more things, but we often forget that what we have now just may be the best.

2. In life, and all circumstances, throughout the day, it is always important to ask the question "what is the point?" This question alone will bring our thoughts to dwell upon what is most important, which will lead to our actions following our mindset.

3. Here is a very important life principle that I have discovered in my suffering. The best thing we can do in this life is draw close to God. In his wisdom, God uses real and severe suffering to cause us to draw near to him in ways we would not ordinarily do in our prosperity. This is a philosophical concept, but when deep in the midst of suffering, this really does make sense.

4. In life, the spontaneous things often seem to be more enjoyable than the planned things.

On a similar note, this quote I came across recently spoke to me. I think it’s an interesting way to look at suffering and perseverance to the point that our human, or carnal, spirit is left fighting for survival in what is ultimately a ‘losing’ battle. It is our regenerated spirit or soul that survives….

“What is man if he doesn’t have a spirit?
And what is man’s spirit if it cannot connect with the master of life?
I’ve survived a lot. It’s the human spirit more than the Godly spirit that is fighting for survival.” - Johnny Cash.

Rules of life:

1. Everything the hard way all the time.

2. No good deed will go unpunished.

3. If something can go wrong, it will.

Come Back to us O Lord!

Lightening is never so bright, as in the blackness of night.
What better time for our God to show us His might.

That's why my hope grows stronger each day.
Please, O please friends join me and pray.

O mighty Lord, hear us as we say.
Come down to us now, turn this night into day.

Get glory, get glory, all for You I say,
Make your light shine, now in the fray.

Is it not time for thee, LORD, to work?
For they have made void thy law.

Bare now your holy arm, O Lord of the Church.
Work once again, make this darkness withdraw.

Wilt thou not revive us again:
And let thy people rejoice?

And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God;
we have waited for him, and he will save us:

This is the LORD; we have waited for Him,
In his salvation alone, we will be glad and rejoice.

Pray with me, my friends. The Lord is our only hope.

Never allow Christ to be part of your life.
He surely is not part of mine.

For He is a jealous God,
Who won't accept a part.

He must have it all,
Or nothing at all.

He must be your life.
Or He will be your death.
