I can only ask questions Herald.

Oh, please..... Well then Semper Fideles, I hope your questions have been satisfactorily answered.
No, it hasn't. I wasn't trying to be cute. You asked me a question and I'm trying to avoid presenting a view here.

I don't understand how a Baptist views a child in a believing household as having a higher percentage of being elect based solely on the fact they are exposed to means more frequently.

Hey, I've answered your question to the best of my ability. If I'm missing something in my argumentation than I humbly submit that I may not able to answer better than I have. Perhaps another Baptist will be willing to take a stab at your inquiry.

How about this: It is more likely that those children whom God has elected to salvation shall be placed in a home where the Gospel is preached than in a home where the Gospel is suppressed.

Is that the historical Baptist position?

If you consider Spurgeon to be 'historic' then yes. See the link posted above.

I just realized that the Spurgeon article was referenced in the other thread. Here it is: http://www.puritanboard.com/attachm...ren-c-h-spurgeon-household-salvation-1871.pdf
