Christian Dogmatics: Van Der Kooi and Van Den Brink?

I had a library copy a few months ago, and read around in it, without reading the whole thing.

I could be wrong (not having read it in its entirety) but my impression is that it's more liberal than we're used to around here. If this is the state of Dutch Reformed orthodoxy these days - well, what little I read was disappointing.

That's kind of what I expected. I think VU Amsterdam is kind of like Calvin Seminary over here (they are first cousins, so far as ecclesiastical ties are concerned).

I expect there would have been more of a buzz about it in the Reformed world if it had been a confessional work.
