David,
This thread is for only Paedobaptists. As per Administration:

"I've created this sub-forum to be a non-debating area for members to ask questions and receive clarification on the confessional understanding of the Sacrament of Baptism from Paedo-Bapists only."

Water required to be obedient to God, but not required to be saved.

That’s a remarkable statement on several fronts.

1. Salvation contemplates more than conversion. It encompasses the whole of Christian life.

2. You’re now pitting God’s ordained means (of grace) against the ends, final adoption. Why not go all the way and say that a Christian can be saved apart from the ministry of the Word and prayer? While we’re at it, who needs the church? They’re all just means, after all.

3. You’ve even gone so far as to pit obedience against salvation, as if you have reason to believe God would save one who refused baptism.

Moderating. David should not have been posting to the thread since it is in the paedobaptist answers only forum, and he is credo. Please carry on without engaging his recent posts.

Brother, please respect the op and do not engage him. David has already demonstrated multiple times on various threads that he doesn't fully comprehend the doctrine of baptism.

I will, but I believe the moderation came after my two posts. Also, his recent post could be said by a Paedo who is a minimalist on the means of grace. But again, moving forward I will ignore him.

Thank you everyone for your kind and resourceful responses I have been reading much due to these links and offered helps.

I'm beginning to more thoroughly grasp the paedobaptists view point of Scripture.

I am meeting with a recently new friend tonight who is a URCNA pastor, and I will be shooting some questions to him.

My only quam would be the seemingly reading of OT into NT not from the NT to the OT. Is this a correct perception or is this another unfounded and credo-biased attack.
