Ordinary Church members may find Bavinck's 4 volume Reformed Dogmatics a bit daunting. His one volume "Wonderful works of God" is a user friendly summary of his theology and it is very doxological. Here is a helpful discussion on Reformed Forum as to why "Wonderful works of God" is so helpful.

The new edition of that book has given me an excuse to read through it more diligently than I have in the past, which I've been doing, slowly, since the start of the year. I'm happy to see that it's today's topic on "Christ the Center." Now I know what I will listen to in a few minutes, when I go out to clear a significant pile of snow.
