I have started doing a 20 minute or so devotional on Facebook every day. I don't know if this will be permanent, but I hope it will be. The schedule is 10 AM CST US on Facebook live for the weekdays, and 3 PM for Sunday. It would be great to see some of you there.

I have seen more people starting this; it is very encouraging. It makes me reflect on how during the Reformation there used to be daily preaching and what a blessing that would be. It seems like practices like this are helpful steps in that direction.

Adam, Calvin's practice is what inspired me to start doing this.

Really? How long have you been in pastoral ministry with the web at your disposal and his practice just now inspired you? Hmm...

As for me: I'm about to start doing something similar, but in no way am I claiming Calvin or any other as my inspiration. For me its simply that my people have more time on their hands now that many of them are stuck at home and our Sunday streaming service has been shortened so that I'm only going to be preaching for ~25 minutes... so I have more time on my hands too. And I want to try and capitalize on this for Kingdom purposes.

I started last week reading each day the morning and evening portions of Charles Spurgeon's aptly named "Morning and Evening". It takes about 6-7 minutes. I do it on Facebook Live and then upload to Youtube.

On Sabbath mornings I'm reading sermons from Ebenezer Erskine (goal is 15-20 minutes).

I starting reading Morning and Evening this year as a personal devotional; it's simply wonderful.

I am one of the hundred or so people left on the planet that don't use Facebook. My wife has an account so I can join with hers. How does it work?

You can simply look up my name on FB, and then find out where my posts are, and then you should be able to stream it from there. The videos are saved.

Lane, thank you for these. I have been very much blessed so far. Hopefully, you will keep going, if you have time, after the current crisis is over.
(Also, I noticed you like blue shirts) :)
