The matchups get a little better this week with 4 matchups with top 25 teams. I even managed to come up with 15 games this week.
As usual, any PB member in good standing can play. The winner each week is eligible for the bowl final, with the winner of that running next year’s contest. Any suggestions for matchups for next week should be sent in by Wednesday, as I’m trying to get most of my matchups picked before the Saturday games so I can get them up early in the week. All games are on Saturday this week.

At this point, we have 3 matchups where we all picked the same team

Stanford over USC
Navy over Tulane
Texas over Cal

Stanford is favored by 9, Texas is favored by 8, and Navy's favored by less than a touchdown. I probably should have gone with Virginia at Conneticut....

Louisville

Pronounced, of course, in the Georgia fashion of Lewisville, rather than the Frenchie styled Looieville.

Actually, in Kentucky they pronounce it Loo-uh-vull.

And since I lived there for 4 years... that's how I pronounce it. ;)

I'm convinced that people begin to purposely and egregiously mispronounce the names of their own cities just so they can spot outsiders.

Quick post, then I'll edit to add Flaming Scotsmen. Next week probably won't go up until late today or tomorrow so I can take into account this week's performances by teams.

Douglas - 13 :flamingscot:
(tripped up only by the Battle of Bristol (Speedway) and joining the rest of us in being wrong about the Longhorns)

Ben G -11
Zach - 11
Mark - 11
Earl - 11
Ben D - 10
Steve - 10
Todd - 9
Bill (the Baptist) - 9
Edward - 9
Matt - 7

Did not play this week:
