We are one game light this week, aren't we?

Gentlemen - I missed one of the intended games. Please add your prediction for the following:

Miami(FL) @ North Carolina (14:30)

I simply missed it in running down my list of games

@Edward @Eyedoc84 @ChristianLibertarian

Your order is preserved - just please add your pick of this game.

The original post has been corrected.

Thanks!

Todd

How do you decide which games we pick?
Not speaking for Todd - I don't know his system, but I started with teams that had close spreads to try to avoid easy picks (didn't always work) and then salt in some big traditional matchups with larger spreads because underdogs can sometimes punch above their weight there, and highly ranked opponents. Finally, I'd sometimes throw in a whimsy game such as "the battle of the brains" CMU vs CWRU. Last season was a mess - trying to find teams that would actually play.

Yep, this is more or less my idea. There's little worse than picking all the top 25 games when half of them are expected to be blowouts. What I don't want to see is every week needing to go to a tiebreaker because everyone chose essentially the same wins, and the battle comes down to about 5 games that are close.

So, I try to mix in as many of the top 25 teams as I can, but then I definitely look at expected point spreads and try to keep games competitive.

Seems to work pretty well every time I run the show :)

Week 7 is in the books, and it nearly looked like a SolaScriptura runaway at first, but lo and behold Denver and Jean came flying oolong at the end to send Ben to a third place finish with a solid lock on the games starting after 2:30 Central... Denver edges out Jean 11-10, and we have yet another new weekly winner.

Congratulations!
