Since I am not going to be around Monday morning, and since Week 1 will include Thursday games, I thought I would put this up today instead of Monday. Most of the best teams are playing cupcake games, but I still managed to put together some good games that will hopefully provide some separation and interest.

Yeah. I'm not saying I would have picked them to win on the road, but I definitely would have been tempted. If I were a betting man, I would have absolutely put $ against that spread.

And I assume FSU/LSU wasn't on the list because it was played on Sunday?

Another week with quite a lot of parity - some bold picks by one standing against the rest. Two of those outliers, Lane with his selection of NIU over BC, and Jake, choosing Fresno State over Purdue, used their solo picks to vault into a tie with me at 10 correct picks. Off to the tiebreaker again, and, while we all thought Houston and UTSA were going to display a lot more offense, Lane's prediction of a 27-21 win for Houston edged out Jake's 28-21 prediction. My sad pick of 34-31 gave both teams way too much credit for offensive firepower . The second goes to the Grand Poobah. Well done, Lane!
