Here we are at Week 13... the window for securing your spot in the Bowl Bash is closing... so for those of us who haven't yet won a week... do your research and prognosticate well!

This week I've decided to exercise my prerogative and have decided to include a special 18 game slate.
Of course, if you don't want more than 15 games you're free to simply leave 3 games un-picked. :hunter:

One of the included games is the annual Montana/Montana State rivalry game - I've included this game in honor of my daughter and her alma mater. Kickoff is 11am Saturday morning...

Cheering for Army, Vandy, and Indiana (because I don't like their opponents for varying degrees of pettiness) but employing my strategy of picking against them to ensure happiness regardless of the result...

Well, Army is gonna face the Notre Dame juggernaut - much the same as the 101st faced the Wehrmacht onslaught at Ardennes. Sadly, it doesn't look like the 3rd Army will be coming to the rescue.

Army may lose the game, but they've won the dope looking uniform contest!

Sadly, it doesn't look like the 3rd Army will be coming to the rescue.
My grandfather's battalion (178th Engineer Combat) ended up assigned to Patton's 3rd Army shortly after the D-Day invasion in Normandy. But my grandfather told me he spent most of his time on a boat with a .30 caliber machine gun. I inherited his service records a few years ago - he always did tell the truth!

That's awesome! You owe it to your country to change your pick from Notre Dame to Army...

:D I will be rooting for Army - I try to separate my feelings (and who I am actually going to root for) from my picks. But one of these weeks I'm gonna pick solely based on which team I actually want to win. If I were to change my pick, it would because my very Orange Northern Irish grandfather would have destroyed me with a look of scorn for showing any hint of support for Notre Dame! But I'm guessing he would have approved of the pick for the sake of the competitive nature of our family...
I know he has died, by many thanks for your grandfather's service.
Thanks, brother - he was an immigrant but he was very proud of his service (he insisted on having a US flag on his casket at burial).

Dawgs may need a new coach as well as a new quarterback. a 2-8 third tier team put up 21 points and over 350 yards on them? Quarterback has been a problem all season, but the defense has been looking sad as well.

Week 13 gave us a few surprises such as Oklahoma upsetting Alabama and Florida smothering any remaining hope of Ole Miss entering the playoff. Around here it was more of the same for me: close but no cigar. My lot was tied to that of Army... if they had won, I would have won. But alas, they were steamrolled... so again I'm winless.

However, one person's misfortune is another person's gain... and so with a score of 13, Willis is our Week 13 winner. This is his 2nd win of the season. Congrats,Willis!

Here's how we all did:

Willis - 13 :flamingscot:
Me - 12
Jason, Andrew, Todd - 11
Mark, Lane, Rick, Zach, Edward - 9
Brad - 8
Joseph - 7
EdM - 6

And here is our updated Wall of Honor...

I honestly thought I stuck up the joint this week (well I usually do until I take my seasonal winter bath, four baths a year are enough for any man) and had no idea I won this week. But I'll take it!!
