Interesting NPR article. A very frank discussion with a Cal Tech professor who notes that science has not confirmed the commonly held theory that the organization of our solar system is a normal organization and that many more solar systems should be found that are organized similarly.

The theory proposes, for instance, that Jupiter-like planets should be far from the Sun in a solar system but they've found multiple solar systems where they are close to the Sun.

There is an interesting "tension" underneath the discussion about an inability to find solar systems like our own.
