Thankful it was edifying, brother. May the Lord use it to bring glory to His name and in a small way revive Sabbath keeping.
I am thankful for the brother who runs this YouTube channel (I think he has something like 350k subscribers - so he has a fair-sized audience). He was willing to face pushback for live-streaming a sermon likely to catch a lot of flack with his non-Sabbatarian subscribers, but he was willing to do it due to his regard for the truth of God's Word.
I was going to private message @VictorBravo as I intimated in the sermon itself, but as Shadow Forge has posted the sermon, I thought I would mention him directly. In the sermon I said that I found his analogy that if you keep your eye on the road, you do not need the guardrails, to be an excellent illustration for how to keep the Sabbath. That has stuck with me since I read it on The Puritan Board. Thank you, brother.

Isaiah 53:13–14. “The Lord does not call you away from pleasure; He calls you away from thy pleasure. The pleasure that you have invented for yourself. He says, the reason I have called you away from it is because I am calling you to my pleasure. To greater pleasure. To greater delight. To heavenly things. He says call the sabbath a delight, the holy day of the Lord honorable and shall honor him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words.’ He says I don’t want you to be miserable; I want you to have pleasure, but in Me. It’s a day of exquisite delight. A day to delight in the higher things to honor God which should be our delight—something is wrong if honoring God is not delightful to you—to honor God and delight in Christ. Not in your own ways, not in your own pleasure, not even in your own words. But God’s word. We delight in the things of God. This shows you as well, when it says in your own words, that what is in view is total consecration to the Lord. Jesus Christ Lord of the Sabbath is calling you to honor Him this day. He says, why would you not? Did I not create you in love, Exodus 20, did I not redeem you in love, Deuteronomy 5, and beyond all that am I not a great king worthy to be adored, worthy to be worshipped this day? So he says come to me, spend time with me, delight in me and worship me. Delight in my sabbath rest from the world and all of the things. Why are you interested in errors and balls and games when you can have me instead? Why do you want recreation and amusement and worldly work when you can have time spent with me? The sabbath is a delightful day because to be with Christ ought to be delightful. How does verse 14 begin? Then thou shalt delight thyself in the Lord. That’s what transforms the sabbath day from drudgery to delight. When our heart can truly say … there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee, my flesh and my heart faileth but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73. Is that where you are brethren? The Sabbath day tests your heart…. The Sabbath day tests our profession. When even lawful things like work or recreations [must be given up to delight and take pleasure in God]. Jesus tests you on this day. If you are called like Lot’s wife to leave this world behind if Christ were right before you now, and He is, by faith you must believe it, and he’s beckoning you to come to Him, would you rather turn back at your big screen TV, on vanity fair, on the super bowl, or whatever else, or would you say I will follow Thee into heaven Christ. The sabbath tests you. You know, the grace of it is, you have today to find out if you are Lot’s wife. Jesus says remember Lot’s wife, and she had sabbath day after sabbath day; clearly she didn’t sanctify the day because she wouldn’t follow God, and she perished with the world. But if you get to the end of your days and can say I desire the Lord of the Sabbath more than anything else, worldly labor, or recreation, you can say O my soul how assured I am to enter my eternal rest, my eternal sabbath rest in the arms of Christ. Because that it what I want and that is what I’ve yearned for in the days of my pilgrimage. And that is a beautiful and glorious thing.” The Sabbath is NOT A DAY FOR FOOTBALL. Isaiah 58:13–14. I've been sharing this one around, and pleased to see others doing the same. May our desire for revival and renewal in our lands begin with not giving ground to Sabbath-breaking in our own families and churches.

Finished listening to this today. Excellent, clear, convicting. I used to attend a church who held very loosely to the Lord’s Day outside of church attendance, sadly. Once the service was over you were free (and sometimes encouraged) to do what you wanted. That never sat right with me, even as a new believer at the time. It certainly couldn’t be supported by scripture.
What’s disappointing are those fellow brothers and sisters who would slap a “legalist” label on you for abiding by this, when the motive is simply to honor Christ as we ought. Can we really not be bothered to set aside one day for Him, yet still say that He is our everything?
