1 Tim 5:21 refers to ‘elect angels’. Are these then kept from falling by God’s grace and Sovereign election and were the fallen angels permitted to rebel based on their being rejected by God as vessels of His wrath? (Created for different purposes in a similar way to mankind?)

Is grace the proper way to consider God’s dealings with them (the elect angels) or are we to understand them as created without any possibility of falling........free will only to do that which is righteous and therefore not standing in need of preserving grace?

Does Scripture at any time indicate whether or not the fall of angels was a one time event or whether there remain angels in His service who are not amongst His elect and therefore will at some point in time fall?

Do Arminians generally accept God’s sovereign election with regards to angels?

Anybody know any reformed books on this subject they could recommend?

Anselm held that the number of the elect among men is equal to the number of fallen angels (Cur Deus Homo).
