Anniversary of Lloyd-Jones passing

Today is the 25th anniversary of Martyn Lloyd-Jones passing. I cannot say enough of the positive influence reading his sermons and his biography have had om me. To God alone be the glory!

Thank you for the reminder and the link. Dr. Lloyd-Jones is to me the greatest preacher of the 20th Century. I pray that God would raise up such a preacher in our day.

A few years ago I was driving through Newcastle Emlyn (something not many people do!) and I thought I would go and look for his tombstone. I was able to find it. It is no different to dozens of others in the cemetery, but on the tombstone, after his name and dates is written

The Beloved Doctor

'for I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ and Him crucified.'

What a great obituary! May we all deserve it on our tombstones!

Then Bethan's name and dates are given, followed by

'Heirs together of the grace of life'
