Another Christmas Question

Preaching on the hypostatic union is not sin. I didn't say it was. I didn't even come close.

Tom,

p1. You stated that the Christmas message (along with Christmas songs and candles) may not infiltrate a Sunday, December 25th message.

p2. The hypostatic union is the at the heart of the Christmas message.

Therefore, the hypostatic union may not infiltrate a Sunday, December 25th message.

If you don’t like the logical conclusion of your position, then you have three options.

1. Deny your premise that the heart of the Christmas message may not infiltrate the worship service.

2. Deny that the theology of the incarnation is at the heart of Christmas.

3. Deny the laws of logic.

What too often happens in discussions like this, people don’t understand the implications of their own position. So, when they see the glaring implications of it, they deny the conclusion, not realizing it comes from their own thesis.
