I'll rely on my friend the Virginia Hugenot to link up to the related thread I can't seem to find... but if any of you haven't got a copy of Anthony Burgess's Spiritual Refining (two volumes by International Outreach, up here nearby me in Ames, IA) you really ought to. Hard hitting truth... straight for the solar plexus - but good for the soul. I only wish I had the original reprint that had all 120 of the sermons he preached in that series, but the 60 that IO has reprinted are well worth their modest price (19 bucks per volume). Any of you that have my blog tagged, stay tuned for reflections on Spiritual Refining (in addition to my on-again-off-again Institutes-blogging).
