Anyone know Arabic?

Guido's Brother

Puritan Board Junior
I have a number of people in my congregation and neighbouring churches who speak and understand Arabic much better than English (they're from Sudan). I'm wondering if there's anybody on the PB who understands Arabic well enough to tell me whether these materials are reliable:

Index of /woh/merf

Some of the files are .mp3 radio broadcasts from Middle East Reformed Fellowship. But I would feel a lot more confident in recommending this material, if someone on here could vouch for it.

Anybody know Arabic and can help?

While I do not speak Arabic, having only studied it for 4 years as a middle schooler and a missionary kid,

MERF is fundamentally reliable, teaching and doctrine-wise. It's always dangerous to make an unqualified endorsement, particularly if one has to go on the testimony of other people. But I will go as far as possible--pretty far, in this case--and say, MERF broadcasts would be extremely helpful and reliable.

I also think these people are reliable: Middle East Resources, South Holland, IL

(Rafalsky, please feel free to chime in...)

Thanks for that. The Canadian board of MERF is made up of all CanRC people, but then again, their radio broadcasts are also supported by the CRC -- I think there's a partnership between the Back to God Hour and MERF. I know that not everything and everyone CRC is tainted, but it does raise questions. So, that's why I ask.
