Ok. Subject verb agreement question for any grammar hounds. I have noticed some usage that treats "grace and salvation" as a composite subject taking a singular verb (grace and salvation is) as opposed to plural subjects taking a plural verb (grace and salvation are). Is there anything wrong in modern usage to do this? The latter seems more common. Anyone notice if this is particular Puritan usage or not?
