For all you classical music fans out there (all 4 of us), next Tuesday (1/16) marks the 50th anniversary of the death of conductor Arturo Toscanini, at the age of 89. He retired in 1954 after 68 consecutive years as an orchestra conductor. He is still considered, by some, to be the most important conductor of the 20th century.
