Bavinck in Imitation Leather!

I thought the subject was some theological treatise he wrote about. My mind read "on" instead of "in". :)

I have yet to get my copy, though I have been waiting to pull the trigger. Seems like an opportunity for me (and only me, I am not passing judgment) to be vain.

If I get the hardback ones, I’m more likely to treat them as I ought: tools to be used.

If I get the leather ones, they’re more likely to be shelf decorations, or if they do get read I won’t be as comfortable marking things up.

Imitation leather May age horribly

Looks like imitation leather over board, so these will be hardbacks covered in imitation leather. It's sure to be nicer than the case bound hardbacks they're currently selling. In earlier printings they did clothbound with dust jackets. I wish I could exchange mine for a set of those.

Imitation leather over board will be better than case bound, but cloth bound is better that imitation leather over board, in my opinion.

How does this work? Most people who want Bavinck already have Bavinck. Do we sell our old Bavincks for this?
You could also act according to the advice of Wilhelmus a Brakel in his preface to the third edition of his Reasonable service:
"If someone is displeased with the enlargement of the third edition, then let him transform his displeasure into
generosity by giving his first or second edition to someone of humble means who could also be edified by it, and
obtain a copy of the present edition for himself."

Alright. But I would first be curious what Bavinck from the grave adds in this new edition.
