A prayer for today: O Lord our God, we know that no one who lives in iniquity will ultimately strengthen himself. The paths he walks are not the narrow paths of truth and safety, but the broad road to destruction and death. Yet we keep pretending that just a little iniquity will not hurt. We ask ourselves how close to the edge we can walk without falling off. Turn us away from that folly. Give us a right mind to walk in the old paths, in the good way, that we might find rest for our souls. We ask in Jesus’ name. Amen. (Ezekiel 7:13; Proverbs 7:27; Matthew 7:13; Jeremiah 6:16)
