I've been reading the book, The Benefits of Providence, by James Spiegel. He advocates the Augustinian view of God's providence. He argues against Molinism, the simple foreknowledge view of God's providence, and openness theology. He discusses how God's providence relates to the practice of science and our day-to-day lives as believers. He also talks about the problem of evil.
