Study through the Institutes with Dr. Timothy George
16-Week courses (beginning February 2, 2009): Calvin and the Reformed Tradition

Calvin and the Reformed Tradition with audio lectures by Dr. Timothy George

The Reformation of the sixteenth century was a tremendous movement of ecclesial and spiritual renewal within the wider Christian tradition. The Protestant Reformation was the wellspring of both the evangelical awakening and the modern missionary movement. The purpose of this course is to examine the central theological concerns of the Reformation as they were embodied in the life and work of John Calvin. Dr. Timothy George is the founding Dean and Professor of Divinity at Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama.

This course meets for 16 sessions. Students will have access to course material online until June 19, 2009 (20 weeks to complete the course). Cost: $75 (A $25 discount is provided for subscribers of the Founders Journal)

Does this look like a class worth considering?

I say that it is worth considering. Please note, if you don't know, that you will probably be listening to lectures by George via the Founders website (and, of course, reading through the Institutes) and discussing them with a mentor and other students by phone. In addition, you most likely will be expected to write a paper or two.
