John Calvin's personal emblem was a picture of a flaming heart held up in a hand with an inscription. His motto reads: "Cor meum tibi offero, Domine, prompte et sincere." "My heart I offer to you, O Lord, promptly and sincerely."

A quote from Augustine, if I'm not mistaken. From his Confessions, I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I can't find a reference to this quote in Augustine, but there are other Augustine scholars on this board who may be able to -- anyone?

This is the seal that Calvin College and Theological Seminary use.
