Rivalry weekend!

Here we go... There are a number of really good non-rivalry games out there, and unfortunately many rivalry games are likely to be stinkers - So I've put together a mix of classic rivalry matchups that should be relatively close games and other marquee pariings this week. One more after this one, so it's your next-to-last shot to get into the Bowl Series!

The games this weekend have been a lot better than most of the bowl matchups last year.

Ohio State wins when Michigan goes for 2 to avoid overtime.

Georgia over Tech in two overimes

Auburn knocks off Alabama by running back a missed field goal with time expired.

Baylor by 3 over TCU, Duke by 2 over UNC. Oregon by 1 over Oregon State. Vandy by 2 over Wake. LSU comes from behind to beat Arkansas. Mississippi state takes the Egg Bowl in overtime over the Rebels - Bears - Rebels. And as I type, it looks like W. Va and Iowa State may make it to overtime.

I think this entire year has been fantastic!!!!! That Auburn Alabama game was a lot of fun. Also being a UCF fan I am dreading playing Alabama in The Sugar Bowl.

The evening ended early... so I can declare here before the Lord's Day the winner of Week 14's contest: The Rev. Tim Phillips wins with auspicious and unpopular picks of Duke, Miami, and UCLA to win their respective games. What a great week of close contests! One more week to come (though I *may* have a week 16 of all Div I-AA, II and III contests just for fun!). Next week's games will be almost all conference championships plus the four Round 2 Div I-AA contests...

Must be a lot of slightly embarrassed folks on this thread now: UCLA beat USC for the second year in a row. I think USC's interim head coach wants the big job. If so, he didn't do himself any favors tonight.

Obviously, UCLA cheats! LOL
