Commentary on 1 John

My small group is starting a study on 1 John next week. Would someone recommend a good commentary from a reformed perspective? This is not a reformed group, but all know that I am and
they are open to listen to what I have to offer. Thanks.

this is not a commentary but my pastor went slowly through 1 John and even got into exegesis when needed on some harder passages, may be helpful to you: 1-3 John | Sovereign Joy Community Church

Martyn Lloyd-Jones is just excellent, named Life in Christ, Studies in 1 John.

I would recommend Candlish in the Geneva series.

Beeke has produced a book/commentary (sermons) on 1John.

The Geneva Series is a favourite of mine!

You should check out the Tyndale Commentary Series. I have the whole (OT and NT) set and they are well worth it.
