"Van Til was loved by the alumni and supporters of the seminary, and by the members of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church--for his piety, his sermons preached at numerous graduations, his visiting the local hospital and talking with patients from bed to bed, his Sunday afternoon correspondence with old Christian friends, and his open-air preaching, especially in Wall Street, New York"
-Geoff Thomas, In the Shadow of the Rock, p.112.

Love him or hate him, he certainly loved the Gospel he sought to defend.
