Phew that's a long title!
Recently I came across something termed "biblical covenantalism" by a Douglas Kennard (from a 3 volume work published by Wipf and Stock) with a view that "positions itself between the New Perspective and traditional Reformation views as well as Covenant theology and Dispensationalism, even as it distances itself from American Covenantalism, Theonomy, Natural law, and the prayer of Jabez."
I am familiar with both dispensationalism and reformed covenant theology, and realise there are differences of views even within these systems. But I do not have a firm grasp on the other views. There are a lot of helpful threads on the Board which compare NCT and progressive covenantalism with reformed covenant theology.
Are there any reputable resources that fairly represent each of these theological frameworks, preferably succinctly?
And have you heard of "biblical covenantalism"? Within Kennard's work, there seems to be a lot of emphasis upon the Hittite Suzerainty treaty and a more Jewish perspective for interpretation of covenants within Scripture.
