Did any Puritans write about education?

Are there any books written by the Puritans, or their heirs, in which is discussed the realm of general education? I don't mean specifically Christian education (ex. catechism), but their view of learning about history and the arts, etc. It is my understanding that they themselves received classical educations, but did they ever write about the topic?

William Ames, Technometria. It was translated into English by Lee W. Gibbs.

John Brinsley, the elder (1566-1624), schoolmaster at Ashby-de-la-Zouch. He wrote a few books on educational methods.
