Regi Addictissimus
Completely sold out to the King
To my fellow students and readers of the Church Fathers, Sermon Audio recently added Douglas Kelly's course lectures on the Patristics.
You will notice, there appear to be two series of lectures lumped together. I started at the second series of lectures with the lecture named "Patristics: 1. Intro (2/10)."
I appreciate the question Kelly poses to his students: The Magisterial Reformers and Puritans learned deeply from the Fathers and quoted them extensively. Why is it that from the Eighteenth Century and forward Reformed theologians greatly neglect the Fathers? I have pondered this often myself.
Side note: I could listen to Kelly all day, ramblings and all. Yes, he does ramble quite a bit, though I enjoy his anecdotes.
