Tempus faciendi, Domine.
What a delight! The PCA Historical Center has received today a copy of Dr. David Calhoun's latest work, Pleading for a Reformation Vision: The Life and Selected Writings of William Childs Robinson (1897-1982).

Two of Dr. Robinson's former students were called upon to write the Preface and Foreword for this volume. Lowell Beach Sykes, pastor emeritus of the Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg, Virginia, wrote the Preface; and Dr. J. Julius Scott, emeritus professor of Biblical and historical studies at Wheaton College, wrote the Foreword. Acknowledgments and an Introduction by Dr. Calhoun conclude the preliminary matter. The bulk of the content is divided into two sections, as per the title. Calhoun covers Robinson's life in eighteen chapters, and then provides twenty-three examples selected from among Robinson's many writings.

This is a hardback book from Banner of Truth, black boards with dust jacket, xxi, 309 pages in length, so it is a book with a nice heft to it, and should make for several good evenings of reading.

More about the book at the Banner web site, here: Pleading For a Reformation Vision - Banner of Truth

Thanks for the heads up! I bought his book, Our Southern Zion: Old Columbia Seminary (1828-1927) this summer and am looking forward to reading it.
