Edwin Louis Cole?

Hello,

Has anyone read any of this man's books (Maximizing Men, Courage, Sexual Integrity, etc.)? In church this morning the guest speaker recommended these, and I thought I would try to get a Reformed perspective on them, b/c this man was/is a Pentecostal minister, but the amazon reviews were all good.

I heard him when I was in high school (a charismatic school) and have read a few of his books.

I do not recommend them or him. I threw away his books that I had.

He is fully charismatic and bases everything on experience and self help instead of on the Word of God and our responsibility to obey Him.

Don't waste your time reading his books and especially hearing him "preach".

Thanks for the heads-up. I found a reference to him at cbmw.com, but it was a rather brief reference, not really interacting or critiquing his stuff.
