My wife and I heard a Reformation Day lecture by Professor David Engelsma last night. Prof Engelsma spoke on Christianizing the world and the coming of the Kingdom. I came away from that lecture with a clear understanding of how our eschatology and our world life view are interrelated. Prof Engelsma's lecture showed how the doctrine of common grace, developed by Abraham Kuijper [the proper spelling of Kuyper], related to the Christian idea of the coming of the Kingdom.

I hope this lecture is posted on Youtube so it is readily available.

At the lecture, I acquired three new books which look promising.

The Reformed Worldview: The Word of God for our Generation By David J. Engelsma and Herman Hanko

The Kingdom of God By David J. Engelsma

Christ's Spiritual Kingdom: A Defense of Reformed Amillennialism By David J. Engelsma

Thomas, I also hold Prof. Engelsma in high regard. I'm currently rereading Christ's Spiritual Kingdom – a very able defense of Reformed Amillennialism. He's a good theologian, and writer.
