I am fascinated by the debates for early or late dating of Revelation. The dispensationlist among others, insists upon 95-96 AD. Not only dispensationalists but most seem to hold this view. On the other side, the Preterist and partial preterist view has the dating pre 70 AD and argue Nero as he whom exiled John.

What, if any thoughts might be had here with respect to this? Where might I find a trustworthy resource for this?

Irenaeus is the ancient source often quoted for the late date. There is some wiggle room even in Irenaeus' testimony. The rest of the ancients, Gentry says, were just quoting Irenaeus.

Kistemaker makes some very persuasive arguments for internal evidence of a late date in "When Shall These Things Be". I don't have time to summarize right now.
