There was a reason some sub forums used to be subject to moderating of posts prior to letting them post to the board. Some topics seem to bring out the worst in folks and more heat than light. We determined some years back to open all such forums to regular posting and moderate after the fact as we do normally on the board. But the heat that this topic of Exclusive Psalmody (EP) still seems to generate warrants a standing exhortation or two.
Be advised, that over the line posts will be moderated more severely in this subforum, given the known heat it tends to generate. Also, if you are new to the subject, take some time to read a few of the old threads to get your bearings first; the topic has been exhaustively discussed here over the years from many angles and perspectives. One's new objection or argument has likely been broached many times before.
It would also be prudent to understand the Regulative Principle of Worship (RPW) before trying to wade into discussions of things relative to EP. Moderators are encouraged to delete posts in the EP sub forum that exhibit basic misunderstanding of the general principle to keep any EP threads on track.
In summary the moderators would simply exhort posters to avoid the oversimplified retorts such as "you don't believe in the RPW if you don't hold to exclusive psalmody" or "how stupid is it to think Paul was saying, 'psalms, psalms, and psalms' in Ephesians 5:19 and Colossians 3:16." One may think the former or be unpersuaded of the strength of the latter, but these are the kinds of things that are for discussion in this forum, via reasonable argumentation.

And a reminder that EP has been long held in some quarters; i.e. it has a respectable pedigree and is not novel. Please treat your EP brethren respectfully and not as if they held to some strange heresy. The more Lutheran Joannem Zwick in his preface to the Constance Hymnal (1540) while disagreeing with EP clearly notes that it was a common and respectable position at that time (Cf. The Confessional Presbyterian journal 7 [2011], "In Translatiōne: The Preface to the Constance Hymnbook by Joannem Zwick").
