Most of the albums listed here I have never heard of. That's probably because I don't listen to albums anymore. However, this thread got me thinking. What were my favorite albums back when I listened to albums? That was back in the day of vinyl and tape which wore out over time. So it stands to reason that my favorite albums would be those which I wore out. Here they are:

Buddy Rich: Plays, and Plays, and Plays (The a side, of course. The b side was mostly disco.)
Sinatra: Sinatra at the Sands (With Count Basie and Quincy Jones)
Richard Wagner: Solti, Chicago, Wagner (Solti in his prime)
Boston: Boston ('nuff said)
Joni Mitchell: Miles of Aisles (With Tom Scott and the LA Express)
Resurrection Band: Awaiting Your Reply and Rainbow's End (Does anyone know where I can get these now?)
Sweet Comfort Band: Hold On Tight (Bryan Duncan before the mullet)
Chick Corea Electric Band: Eye of the Beholder (Loved the acoustic piano sound)

----------------

How could I forget the first album I ever bought?

ELO: Out of the Blue (Both discs)

Bach!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, I have a question. How far do we go when we listen to "secular" music. Is it okay to listen to music that is not done to the Glory of God? I can see how Bach, or classical music is different? but how about listening to music that is centered on relationships, heart breaks, self, or anything else?

No particular order for these either - love 'em love 'em!!!

I'm not an "album" or "artist" person. I'm pretty picky, so I'm a "song-by-song" person.

Case in point: I love Evanescence's song My Immortal. But I don't like their harder or more depressing stuff. I also grew up listening to N*Sync (I know, I know) but I only liked some of their ballads. Some of their other songs were too risque for me to enjoy.

My Immortal's a cool song. Bill teases me when I listen to it, though - he makes "dark 'n angry girl artist" jokes.:lol:
I love "Broken" with Amy Lee and Seether too, but I don't want that Seether album that has the song - it's too metally, loud and dirty. I do have my limits!

Rush "Hemispheres"
