If you were to only have access to the Christian writings of one of these time periods, which would it be and why?

I have generalized the dates. If you are unsure about the exact dates between Early/Medieval or Medieval/Reformation, or Reformation/Puritan, vote however you’d like to classify it, and then explain your answer and reasoning.

I choose the Puritans simply because I feel that they distil much of the best of what came before along with warm piety and devotion that applies it to life.

The 1600s have far too many of the very best writers to list out. Any other century doesnt have the writings of James Durham or John Bunyan - that alone makes it a no brainer.
