I love Vos with all my heart. Such a quiet yet towering genius. He is often overshadowed by the other giants of his time—the Hodges, Dabney, Machen, Warfield, etc.—but he really is himself a giant among them, though often sadly neglected for the aforementioned.
Vos is perhaps my favorite Christian writer. I have read and re-read his "Wonderful Tree" sermon numerous times. Each time I get more out of it. I highly recommend it. http://www.kerux.com/doc/0602A1.asp
His sermon "Songs from the Soul" from which the OP quotes is a close second.
